Finally got around to renewing the membership and thought I'd post up a portrait from earlier in the month. Smoke from fires elsewhere in the state filtered the sun a bit to give a nice warm glow. This doe still has a little of her winter coat on her face but I liked the way the wind flowed out her mane. 7D, 500/4 + 1.4xTCII, f6.3, 1/125s, ISO 800, +1.33 EC, HH from vehicle, cropped to about 8 MP.

Lovely light here Steve, giving a nice warmth to the colours and soft tones, good portrait.

Hey Steve, great to see you posting again - been missing your images Sweet, sweet light, and just love the angled pose. Superb IQ too. I like how you have included more of the neck in the total portrait, and you have nailed the exposure and sharpness.
