    Taken at Bonaventure Island, off the coast of Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec.

    Full size, cropped to 7x5".
    I might have added some canvas to the front, but not sure.

    Hi Karl. Nice bird and nice flight pose. I'd lighten up the face a bit....pity for the light angle and the shadow darkening the eye. You should also remove the dirt in front of the bird...that is either on your sensor or lens by the way.

    I'm pretty sure it is the sensor.
    I will have to clean it I guess.
    Here is the modified verson. LI lightened up not only the face but the belly as well.

    Good job overall, and I like the blues here. Too bad the eye is in the shade and I find the gannet rather low in the frame. Whites look good.

    Good flying posture Karl, and just love the colour and detail these guys have on their heads. I agree taking off the top will improve the comp.
