Default Double crested cormorant & Fish on a very foggy morning

From several years ago. Just saw it again. It is a pretty simple image in the fog. Not much detail, but it gets the point across, I think. The light was very low. . I just worked on the eye and bill and left the rest as is. Though there is not much detail, it works for me. I had posted a different shot of this bird a few weeks ago, then left town for storm chasing and drove about 3000 miles on that trip.

Very moody. The bits of color on the cormorant's face and the exquisite shape of the fish makes this work well. There are 2 or 3 spots above the water ripples that I would remove.

    Very interesting and creative idea!

Agree with Nancy about the shape of the fish being a big plus.

I like the way you made the eye and bill stand out but I might take it even further and punch them up even more. And maybe darken the rest of the bird a bit to make the contrast even greater?

I agree with Mike. I think you can puch it up without losing the foggy atmosphere. Cool catch!
