very nicely done , can't help for collar but you can avoid it by changing some angles of course if possible

I guess I was lucky with this beautiful girl

Hi Ishmeet, knowing how difficult it is to get a shot like this, big congrats.

Yes in an ideal world to move the vehicle more to right would have be better, more eye contact & the collar would have been hidden better, but that is not easy, especially when everyone gets wind of a drinking tiger close by. Colour detail and sharpness looks spot on, but might be tempted to darken down the stone, bottom corner, but no big deal, just my own thoughts.

Like Peter, I am curious to what the red blob is on the eye, would certainly clone that out.

Meant to add, would have increased your ISO to 400 giving you a slightly better shutter speed. At 1/160s you did well.

Nice portrait. Also curious what the red on the eye is and would probably clone it out.

The red dot looks like something left over from Photoshop.... Sharp focus but image quality and BGKR are problematic.

Thank you all for your comments and critiques, hope to improve with further posts......

Regarding the Red Dot above the eye is either a Tick or a wart of some kind. It is there in all the images of this particular Tigress (T17).

    regards,
    Ishmeet

Like the position of the head and the water coming off the tongue. Always interesting to look at the different stripe patterns. Not sure if I want to see more or less of the right front paw. I'd remove or tone down the color of the red dot by the eye (blood engorged tick?).

If and when you do have the time could you be kind enough to elaborate on the problems in the image quality and BGKR. Would be much appreciated and would help me understand my errors.

The problems with the background is that it is lumpy dirt. It is quite displeasing to most viewers. Compare the BKGR in your image with the one in Kgalagadi Princess below.

As for image quality, the animal's fur does not seem to have much fine detail; how large a crop was this? Again, compare with Brendan Cremer's fine image.

I am thrilled that you are open to learning.

Nice image Ishmeet. Lucky to get the tigress in such a pose. Beautifully done. I know sometimes it becomes difficult to correct or change the POV from the safari vehicle for shots like this.

    Thanks for sharing.
