Yesterday at a local marsh I saw this lovely little juvenile Pied-billed Grebe in lovely light. I got down as low as I could get and fired away.

    What a little beauty....

Processed it using Topaz from original, very little done to image

Nice image for the theme. I like the colorful background and the reflection. Beautiful little grebe . Nicely composed. You did really good with the separation since there is so much going on in the background.

These guys are cute, love the low angle and reflection. Like the wet feathers on the head.

I agree with Denise - nice job making the Grebe both stand out from and blend in with the BG. That catch light is awesome as well!

Nice work Paul, love the little grebes! I like the striking color and contrast of this one. Well done!

Very nice processing on the little grebe. I like the colors and the foreground with the reflection. I have never seen a juvenile grebe as they head up north in summer. (Nor have I seen an ugly-but-cute baby coot.)

Hi Paul, very nice capture. Great that you were able to get in close to it also!
