    This kind of looks like a finch, but the beak seems longer and head shape slightly different
    Hadn't seen this type at the park before.

    I think its a Female Red-winged Blackbird because of thicker bill and coloring around the bill but in your area there's also Tricolored Blackbirds.

    Definitely Red-winged and not Tricolored. Tricoloreds have a thinner bill than Red-wingeds and their underparts are darker, particularly in the belly area where they are blackish rather than nice and streaky like your bird.
