Lovely colours and just enough light on the elephant!

Vivaldo - nicely composed. I like that you captured the ellie with the ears out. Maybe a little ccw rotation and some NR on the sky.

    Sorry Vivaldo

Not up to your usual standard
So....It s a "no" for me on this one.... I understand the sunset may have been nice... but the elephant is not a silhouette or nor does it have any light/detail on it....so it just is a rather flat subject ... busy BKG does nothing for image either... sorry TBH I would have deleted this one .. sorry if this is harsh , but I say it as I see it...

Vivaldo, i have to agree with Peter, the image has a great sky with lovely colours, but the elephant just doesnt have the light or exposure to do it justice. Just an idea have you tried some HDR processing on it? it may produce something interesting or not:eek:

Thanks again for comments Brendon nice idea but to be honest it doesn't work for me. There was haze and smog on the horizon, normally happens in September due to fires. This is why there's little light on the ellie unfortunately. The sun was still high up in the sky but enters the smog and lost all it's power, which is most frustrating

Pulling at straws. The repost is WAY overdone. For me the biggest problems are the two trees that merge with the animal. From the thumbnail I thought I was gonna love this with that loverly sunset.

Vivaldo - awesome mood hidden in here. I agree that the OP doesn't pack the punch it could, and Brendon's RP is a bit over the top even for me who used to dabble in these animal HDRs

As an alternative, here's a repost with the FG darkened...it might have picked up a halo or 2 (just a quick job done). What do you think?

I actually like the look of the OP. Don't know the time of day or year but the image looks as I'd expect for similar looking conditions I've experienced and has a nice late day/early evening feel for me.

I don't give up that easily I will post another version later which I hope will be better then this one. Thanks for comments. Morkel I think your version would have work nicely if the BG wasn't so busy, but I like the idea TKS.
