Not the best wing position but I do think this is a great capture. Focus looks great and the eye contact is perfect. I'd love to get a nice shot like this.
Thanks Leroy, what actually bothered me and I debated wheather or not to crop out the tips of the rear wing?? but I thought I would post somthing recent for a start...
Take Care.
Excellent shot - I actually like the wing position, gives the image a very dynamic feel. I think it would be an improvement if the rear wing would not be visible behind the talons.
Thanks Dieter, Yes I agree and was wondering how others viewed it...
Santa Barbara? Very nice place, I have family there and visit often..
Take care.

Wonderful flight image of a very difficult bird to capture. Love the feeling of speed you captured here Marcus and the excellent detail and eye contact. Fine work and look forward to seeing more
Nicely done as above. No fair cropping out the rear wing tips as then you are altering the natural history of the image. I am, however, A-OK with taking out the distracting and irrelevant stuff.
Later and love, artie
