This was taken Monday morning, a split second (two frames) after yesterday's post. C&C appreciated.

Very well timed Bill. Dont you just love it when you capture this type of flight pose on take off. In an ideal world, he would be further away from the perch, so Im not sure if moving to your left may have helped. There is a hint of noise on the underwing of the far wing.

Thank you Stuart. I was sitting in my parked car; moving wasn't an option (and of course this all happened in a micro-second). By the next frame, he had turned his head. Here's a repost with some of the noise removed, and I've blurred the tree (using a hefty dose of NR) so as to compete less with the bird. Curious to know if you think this helps or hurts.

Bill, I like how you have removed the noise from the bird - good work there. With regards to the BG, I would leave the tree in focus, as in the OP, as the NR applied to the tree has made it funky.

Great sharp detail and IQ. Like the take off pose and comp. Subject is well exposed with good natural colours. Well done Bill !
