Default Flight in last light and high ISO (BCNH)

This is a juvenile black crowned night heron, a good number of them reside in the PA baylands but they rarely come out after sunrise/before sunset. I got this photos right before sunset when the sky was already dark. Background is water.

The exceptional high ISO capabilities of 5D2 made it possible to capture this image with lots of fine details. I hope you like it

Sweet, sweet light Arash, especially on the head and eye. Good flying posture, and certainly oodles of detail. Well captured.

    Arash,
You never cease to amaze me with your PP skills. The light is superb as are the details. What do you do for your NR?

Very nice Arash, details and lack of noise amazing considering the ISO used. If it's not giving away trade secrets I too would like to know your NR methods. TFS

Nice down wing position. The light you still had looks great on the head, which is nice and sharp.
    Great shot, Arash.

This certainly encourages me to try a higher ISO on my 5d2. Outstanding image as usual, Arash. Awesome wing position, detail, and sweet light.

Beautiful image, Arash. Great wing position, superb detail and light. Amazing at 3200. Like Chris, I'd also be interested in knowing what your NR protocol was, and did you use any on the wings?

Arash, awesome shot...the light, IQ, wing position...huge WOW.

BTW, what picture style do you prefer for warm sunset light? neutral?

Thank you all for nice comments, I did apply NR to the bird. I have a rather involved NR procedure that is a bit lengthy for a forum post but soon I will put together something in the form of a short guide so everyone can try this method.

Kaustubh I always use "standard" PS for conversion.

Thanks for the feedback much appreciated.
