Wonderful just to see one in flight, let alone photograph one as well as this.

    Herb:

Lovely soft light, great spread of tail feathers, sharpening, soft background.

I might consider trying a version without the brightest band across the top.

Although she is angling away a bit, the head turn back towards us helps.

Hope to see more of this beauty

    Cheers

Very nice detail with an appealing background. I wonder if the one darker
tail feather is a replacement that hadn't been bleached by the sun yet.

This is outstanding with all that detail on the top of the bird, and with the head tipped toward you! I am surprised at the brown color. I think of adults having bluish-gray backs. Did you know where the nest was so you could position yourself? I agree with Randy about cropping out the bright band at the top.

This is simply beautiful. I have no nits at all. The details are incredible. I am OK with the light band at the top but would love to see you post this image without it.

Great job on this one Herb, I would consider removing the white top portion as well.

Looks sharp with nice detail. I see a reddish cast on the bird.

Killer dorsal view with great details. Best part IMO is the tail spread here. Well done.

Fantastic capture Herb, great detail and wing spread. The tail spread take the image up a notch.

Lovely detail and soft light. Cropping the bright band at the top might not be a bad idea

Great sharp detail and IQ. Like the pose and eye contact. Subject is well exposed with good natural colours against a killer bg. Well done !
