Harshad - interesting behavioral shot with the tiger both lying in the water and drinking it. I like that the tail reappears from under the water. Nice sharpness and color. Wish the POV was a little bit lower but probably not possible.

    Thanks Rachel

Though I have learn how to get eye level shots with Tigers but this tigress was at-least 6 feel below ground level as water level dipped this summer

Hi Harshad... great behavior captured here. I like the inclusion of the rocks on the backslope which gives a nice sense of the setting. Nice work!

    Nice shot of this beauty.
Here is another option for a crop as I feel there is a bit too much of the rocks at the BG.

Stunning image, very well captured with lovely detail and colour, agree with Ofer on the crop a pano style crop works well.

    Hi Harshad

Really cool to get a shot of a tiger drinking, not the most interesting of BKG ,nothing you can do about that..

just thought the image was a bit flat.. so did a little work on it.. hope you dont mind.. crop is difficult as I really dont want to place the tiger to central ...so left it as was..

Well captured Harshad, love the look up posture and pink tongue visible, the curled tail tip is a nice bonus.

Harshadbhai, good eye contact - she knows you are there Well timed to get the lapping tongue, and I would maybe take just a tad off the top.

I love the behaviour here...I am torn between the two crops...agree with Peter on not wanting her too central but also like seeing less of the BG as Ofer's crop points out.

Peter's repost is nice and vibrant...

why was the water level this low?

Like Peter's subtle tweak but prefer the crop of the OP. The BG rocks lead my eye down to the water and the cat and with his head in the lowered position, a tighter crop up top makes it seem as if he's ducking the edge of the frame.
