I took this shot from one of my two garden hides(blinds), I have one positioned for the morning and one for the afternoon. Things are looking good the birds are returning now all the building is complete, I have also just put a garden pond in and within 3 weeks I have damselflies and dragonflies ovipositing - hey I've got two toads and a newt - guess what I am thrilled to bits!!! For you guys who do bird photography and macro work I can recommend you have a go with your gimbal head and a macro lens - it is so flexible and practicable I use a Mongoose head - cannot recommend it more highly.
Hope to be posting some tricky subjects soon - i.e. magpies and crows - lets see how long the jubilant mood lasts!!
    All C & C welcome.

Can't imagine your mood being dampened. Nice reflection in the
eye of the bird especially not giving away your presence so close.

great pose and a nice BG, I only wish the tail was in focus too but sometimes it is tough if the bird is not parallel to the camera

    Nice one Jonathon.

I too have set up a garden hide, and recently added a small pond. Haven't got any damselflies yet though!

Nice shot with a good background. Like Arash had mentioned the tail IF would have stepped this nice image up a bit more.
I really like your perch choice

Great BG and perch. Nice detail. Personal taste would to see it a touch lighter.
