    Default Puffin

    My first puffin!

We went to Mingan Island (North of Québec) and had the chance to stay for a very nice weather for few days.

    NIKON D300, Focal Length 550 mm, 1/2500 sec, f/8, ISO 1250, +2/3
Metering Mode matrix (5), Exposure Program shutter priority (4)

ISO is pretty high (mistake!!) but I think the overall result is acceptable.

    Thank for comments

Haven't seen this species yet, while it looks well photographed.
It's always a challenge to balance the blacks and whites in birds like this.
Exposure looks like it couldn't have been better. Is that a water
droplet on the neck of the bird?

Thank you Bob, yes it is some droplet on his neck.
