I think this is a Grackle...nicely captured image and effects but the blurry leaves covering the body detract from the image...just my opinion

Mitch, I think you got a great-tailed grackle there. Nice to catch him in flight but I have to agree with Paul about the foliage. Would be nice to see more of the bird, as the effect is working pretty nicely.

Mitch. I think you did a great job with the filtering and the capture. The foliage is mildly distracting if you are concentrating on the bird- I think as a artistic piece the bird fits nicely between the two stems.

I guess it is a grackle! I wish I knew how to edit my post to delete Crow and change to grackle! <g>

Nice one, Mitch! There are Grackles all around the local lake here, and they are pretty vocal characters. I like that they fly fairly slow, makes it a bit easier to get IF captures.
