    Default Nikon P7000?????

Wondering if anyone has any info/views or thoughts on the Nikon P7000. I am looking for a "walk around" camera for weekend family outings , etc. I shoot with Nikon D3 and have a large assortment of Nikon lenses which are getting harder to tote around. I don't want to give up the quality I am accustomed to getting from my pro lenses and bodies , but I don't expect to get the same quality from a "point and shoot". Most of what I shoot with this camera would be stuff for slide shows and perhaps 5x7 or 8x10 prints. don't expect to get any competition worthy stuff. I have read the reviews on B&H site but tend to believe that these are one sided and geared towards sales and not valid consumer info. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I feel I can trust what I read here.We are taking 2 of the Grand Kids to Disney in Aug. so I hope to be able to lighten the load , but still capture the memorable moments.

    Thanks in advance to all.

I have one which I use for family shots or when I don't want to carry big cameras. I like it a lot. It's not really small but it's the best compact camera I ever owned. It has good high iso performance. It is also great combined with the small SB-400 flash, which can tilt the head for bounce flash.
