    Default Flight of the Bumblebee!

Something different... I was out trying to get hummingbirds when this bumblebee showed up on the viewfinder! For processing, I used fractalius then changed opacity of the layer and also applied few adjustment layers. Initially I thought of going with vertical crop focusing on the bumblebee but then liked the flower and decided to go square. Does this work?

Here is an alternate crop. Which one do you like...

My favourite is the first one, I like the square crop, everything looks like it belongs, very nice effect. Too much empty space on second one. TFS

Indranil, Cool effect, I also vote for #1. I like the background color very much.

Indranil, the first one for me! I love this, really nice work. I prefer the open feel to the original crop and don't mind the square aspect ratio. The bee is killer, so to speak! Very nicely done.

I also like #1 the best. I might have cropped out that top piece that exists the frame before playing but it certainly doesn't ruin the image for me. I really like the soft glow that you achieved and the fact that the bee is more focused than the plant.

    Nice image and application, Indranil.

I like both, but prefer the first one just a little. I think the plant lends itself to the vertical crop.

If it were mine, I might have cropped a little on the right, but ... Y. I. Y. V.

    Hey Indranil,
I too prefer the 1st post.....although I would have thought I would go for the 2nd! Both work for different reasons so nice choice to have!

Another vote for #1, although as stated before both are very pleasing and have their own merits. Like Roman said, nice choice to have.
