Loving the soft light here Dale, as well as the head-on pose. The techs are awesome! 1/60 with that 800mm monster @ ISO-100! Why the low ISO?

I wish there was a tad more space below for the "virtual feet"...

Well it was a mistake... I had been shooting landscape and didn't change back my ISO.

As for the comp I purposely left room on the top for masthead (Magazine Cover) Just a leftover habit from the days of using film. I forget about adding canvas

    Again, thought as much ...

IMHO with the top BG as it was, it's easier to extend space that way when submitting for magazine use?

I wish "quick grab" shots turned out this nice! Love the framing, head on pose and the soft BG

Love the lighting/BG and attentive pose here Dale, good result with the 800 considering your mistake.

Nice curving horns on this one and the coat doesn't look too ratty for the time of year. I like the soft green of the BG and the little bits of color from the yellow flowers.

Nice vertical composition and eye contact. Like the clean green background as well.
