    Default SB 800 External Power

    Hi - what is everyone using for a power source for the SB-800 for bird photography, I assume most would be using some form of external power pack.
    Does anyone have any recomendations??

    I'm using a Digital Camera Battery that I purchased used and am happy with it.

    A lot of folks use Quantum as well.

    There is a link somewhere on here to a guy who makes his own packs by hand that are lighter and less expensive, but I can't find it at the moment.

    I have always used an external source Last one from Quantum

    With the new 2900 AA it seems there is a choice I use the fifth battery in my flash and recycle time is acceptable Have not missed the external at all !!! Might want to check it out !!!

    ...........btw Lance There is an external power unit shown in the Friends and Family gallery you might want to take a look at !!! It is certainly powerful !!!!
