    Default Great Horned Owlet

I took this image at Alley Pond Park NY using 1D MKIII + 500mm + 1.4X TC using tripod.

Very little PP to remove some noise and cropped.

    C&C welcome.

Good job getting a clear shot. A bit big in the frame.

The bird's face seems a bit out of focus to me and he is very tight in the frame. Do you have more room?

Cute little guy. And a great find.

I agree with Gail and Alan, it's a bit tight for me also. Face does look a tad bit soft, was your focal point on the eyes?

Cute fuzzball. I agree with the others about the tight composition, and I would try to lighten the face area as it seems a bit dark. Would you have been able to move right to clear the leaves and branches?

    Thank you all...

This was shot late in the evening when finally this owlet decided to come out of nest and stretch his wings...

It was celebrity and there was no space for any movement in any direction as it was full house and this young owlet was changing his position. Lighting was tricky and I tried my best to get everything just right...

I will try to redo this one and re-post...
