Hi Herb, beautiful background, nice and sharp, water droplets adds to the image. Really like the detail in the beak.

Very cool looking bird, and wonderful image, Herb! Love the low angle, detail, colors, and good job on the blacks and whites. The green band in BG might be a little distracting, but not a deal breaker. Nice work!

Very nice, Herb! It's not often we see a photograph of a skimmer leisurely floating about in the water. You also got a perfect head angle. Nice low perspective. I wouldn't mind a bit less canvas at either top or bottom, but certainly very presentable as is. The water dropping at bill tip is a beautiful touch.

Yes, an unusual skimmer image that I love with the HA, nice BG and low angle. Like it as it is presented, but I see Dan's point. The water droplet is a nice touch.

Have never seen a swimmer skimmer before. Superbly done with the perfect look back head angle. Love the low perspective and the colors of the BKGR and the FRGRND. Image quality spot on as well.

I am debating as to whether to suggest some sort of a crop from the bottom.

I captured few similar shots of Skimmers recently but after looking at this one I think I will have to throw them and go out on another shoot in hunt of better shot like this...

Great details and nice BG colors...

Thanks you for all of the comments. I did crop more off the bottom like suggested by several.

The skimmer pops nicely in this. Good contrast and colours, sharp, and your low angle of capture has paid off. The drooling droplet adds interest. Well done on the repost.
