    Dumay,
This is superb. How did you get so close to him? Excellent portrait. great light, great BG and I like his eyelid casting a shadow on his eye,

Very nice close up. I kind of wish there was a bit more at the bottom but this is lovely as presented. I might boost the contrast just a hair if it were mine. I see a very faint halo on the neck. Great job getting so close and capturing such a sharp image with lots of details.

Lovely portrait and it looks so clean whic is not what I would have expected.

I like the angle of the head.

Looking forward to your reply on how you were able to get so close.

Its a 1000% crop...Just Joking Sorry I forgot to say that it is a bird one of our Rangers flies for exhibitions for the guests. He brought it around yesterday but wasn't willing to fly him for me...He said I can come to there lodge and I could get some take off and flight images.

Thanks for the idea on contrast Denise, but I cant pick up the halo Reposted with more contrast

Superb IQ mate, and this is tack, tack sharp. The detail around the eye and beak is amazing. Cool colours in the BG too. An opportunity well used mate.

Dumay, The repost looks great, I do see the halo but it is very faint and not worth worrying about.

Hi Dumay, in the future it would be nice if you could mention the fact that a subject is captive in the title and save me a few precious minutes as I don't comment or even open an image of a captive bird. thanks...
