This is a 7 image HDR of a log boom ring anchor (one of four) that was last used in the 70's to tie up the Winter's timber harvest till it could be floated to the mill. All 4 had severe bends.
14mm full frame view.
All C&C welcome.

Amazing detail and texture! Love the leading lines that curve into the fog..........I'd almost rather not have known the origin of the hook, and just let that be a mystery. The whole image has a tranquil tone, and somewhat eerie feel. I think you handled the light exceptionally well, doesn't have the surreal quality of an HDR image. I thought about toning down the bright sky area above the trees, but not so sure now. As it stands, excellent work!

Nice job on this Steve! A bit of fog in the distance adds a nice element. While the hook is very dominant in this case it doesn't detract from the overall. The composition is well framed...
Nice job Steve, really like the depth and feel. For my taste I would maybe add a bit of saturation to the sky and water. Very nice landscape work.

Very nice image, Steve. I like composition and all the detail in the rocks and ring. The distant fog adds a nice feel to it. I think I would tone down the bright patch in the sky a little. Well done.
Steve, I like the way you framed this. The ring anchor has a lot of interest and really makes this scene special. Nicely done.![]()
Very nice land/sea scape Steve! The rusty ring anchor tells a story, and love the double meaning of it being an anchor to the image too! Also, like the detail in the rocks, perspective of shoreline, and mist. I might add a bit of saturation to sky and water as Kerry suggested. Well done!
Thanks folks for viewing and comments. Here's a version with increased saturation of water/sky and toned down bright area.
That anchor really does steal the show - beautiful composition. I think the stream of rust running down adds so much interest and really gives the viewer a sense of the decay/beauty of nature.
Repost looks great, Steve!
