This was taken last april at Texel one of the small Islands of the Netherlands. Normally these birds live a sheltered live in some of our bigger wetlands reserves where the colonies are mainly fenced off from the public. Last year however we got lucky when some of the nests were close to a look out point. This was taken at the beginning of dawn.

I was wondering if this needed more room in front for the bird to fly into, I am not sure.....

Nice flight shot, quite sharp for 1/200 and the exposure looks great on my laptop. Some people might like more canvas in front of the bird but I think it's fine as is.

i love to see flying birds all way down sharp. The lighting is good, too. I slightly oversharped contours is the only remark here.

I personally would like to see a tad more room both on top and in front. Beautiful species and I am glad you were able to create an image . One other small nit is that the area in the center of the bird looks a little overexposed but that could be fixed if it was shot in raw quite easily. Curves would be a good place to start.

Sorry Krijn, this looks a bit too saturated and oversharpened to me. Excellent detail though...

I'm looking forward to go back there this year!
