It's not too late to capture stunning images of adult and juvenile Roseate Spoonbills!!
I also had many opportunities to photograph adult & juvenile Reddish Egrets, Whit Ibis, Glossy Ibis, Brown Pelicans and more
that were right in front of me and at eye level whilethey were preening, hunting and squabbling. Did I mention flight shots??
This image was the calm before the start of the day!

This a beautiful image.
The light is awesome, you have a beautiful subject and while the background is recognizable as Red Mangroves it is not at all distracting.
The image is also sharp and well exposed with excellent eye contact.
It looks like the image needs a little CW rotation.
IMO a little more room behind your subject would make this an even stronger image.
Michael forgot to mention he was chest deep in Tampa Bay when he created this image.
