Happy to see this birdie returned tonight for another photo shoot, I decided to try the 2x out for the first time in a very long time... pretty happy with the results.

Chad, well done, sharp where it needs to be. Love the background. A tad more DOF would help, but still just a beautiful shot. TFS

Nice shot and good HA Chad. The DOF is still quite shallow at f10, the bird is oof from mid back to the tail. I would also lighten up his face a tad. A fine shot irregardless.

Chad, colors, pose and composition is excellent. Loved the bill texture. IQ is very good. You did stop down well. Small birds with back towards you and so large in the frame are always going to be a challenge for DOF.

Fantastic shot, Chad. Color, details on bird are real nice, like the sheen to beak, and pupil showing in eye. Beautiful comp - Nice work!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Guys, I liked how the DOF made the image more 3 dimensional, like tail was coming out at you out of the image. personal pref I guess.. Thanks again for your C&C as always I love to read all the comments and opinions. Have a great evening all

    Hi Chad,
I really like this picture. The BG is perfect. Not too green. Nice perch. The feather detail on head and back are excellent. It is definitely difficult to get the entire bird in focus when he is this large in the frame. Doesn't bother me at all. I also am a great fan of the "look back "pose,
    Gail
