Beautiful young bird and a very nice pose with full underwing detail and perfect HA. I love the light and the color of the bird and the sky. I'm on on a calibrated monitor, but just like your previous post whites look good in this image as well.

I cannot find fault in that James. Excellent.

I really must find time to visit Tampa Bay and have a go at these birds.

Ha! I knew people attempted and succeeded in vertical flight images!! Wickedly good image James, everything came together beautifully. I LOVE the overlapping flight feathers.

This is a winner. I love the soft shades of pink and how the blue lores matches the blue sky. The whites look awesome and the feather detail superb. Love it,

Although the beauty of the adult spoonies is staggering, I find the delicate nature of this young one's beauty just as compelling. Did you really shoot this as a vertical? That's beyond impressive. It's just a perfect image in every way. Thanks for sharing, James!

I think that this would make a wonderful print to hang in a baby's nursery. Such lovely pastel colors and of course you have executed the capture to perfection.

    Grace,
    That's a great idea.
My grandson has a wall of baby animal images from Grandpa Jim Jim. This might just find a place there.

James, the banking pose with excellent angle is superb here. So are the colors and IQ. Well done...vertical in-flight-on-tripod-in-boat....way to go.

Amazing pose, light and eye contact. Love the sharpness and the colors.
When you said "full frame on the vertical side" I thought you meant that you cropped side[s] from a horizontal original?
    Superb image!
