    Default Black-Shoulder Kite

Weather is perpetually cloudy on my off-days especially Saturdays.
Due to no sun light i am getting hard time bring out detail on feathers, would like to check if i use flash can it help to bring detail out of birds wings?

BTW here is Black-Shoulder Kite i shoot this Saturday, CC is always welcome to improve my skills.

Waqar, good eye contact, and I like the comp and pose. These guys have such lovely red eyes. In overcast conditions, raising your ISO will go along way in getting a faster ss, and better exposure by using a + EC. Im sure that the 7D can go up to at least ISO 800 without bringing out noise.

I love those red eyes. As you've presented it, i wonder why you have so much negative space on the right? I personally would eliminate that and also clean up the perch. Hope you share more with us, and I hope for some nice light on your days off.

Waqar, I added a thin black border around the frame as it was hard to tell where your image ended at right. As we can see, the space issue Grace had is not bad at all...but it was hard to tell before taht it was even a vertical. I think some fill-flash would have helped here, but good job on the exposure (altohugh I have a feeling the bird's whites could go a tad lighter?).

A very menacing stare you managed to get from this fella!!
