    Actually, this may a Drake, but the back feather colors look like a female, however the head is black.
    Someone correct me, if I am wrong.

    Dan, looks like a drake to me.

    Nice focus and soft light. But I am not liking the blurring a whole lot. I am not sure if it is natural blur or done in post, but it is looking a little odd. The other issue is the duck is swimming away from you.

    Looks like you have a nice setting...am sure you will get a better shot next time.

    The light has brought out the colours nicely, and turning his head slightly back towards you has helped a little. I agree, he is swimming away from you - always try and time your shot as the subject is swimming towards you, or at least parallel to you. I would blend in the lighter areas of the BG.
