    Default Brandt's Cormorant

There is a small dock near where I live that allows for close views of cormorants, grebes, and loons. This individual popped up right in front of me while fishing. I did get full body shots, but preferred this tight version to show detail.

There was no saturation added to the eye.

Aidian, Nice exposure for sure. I would love to see a version with a tad more room on the top and bottom.

Beautiful looking cormorant, Aidan. That eye is amazing looking, and good detail in the blacks. Agree with adding some more room on the bottom. Nicely done!

Fabulous exposure. The blacks are beautiful and show off the green iridescence to perfection. Love the tight portrait and agree about a tiny little bit more room on the bottom. Top is fine. The eye is gorgeous.

Aidan, terrific blacks, HA, crop, shooting angle...all looks good. That eye and those ripples in front are awesome as well.

    New 500?

Thanks everyone. I agree that it is a bit tight on the bottom.

KD, yes the 500 is new
