    Nice soft light, pose, and catchlight in the eye. Unfortunately the background is very distracting even though it is blurred. A crop from behind with more room in front would help to balance the comp.

    Comp suggestion from Aidan is also my suggestion...BG is silky smooth but busy and a bit bright, maybe tone it down a touch. I also think you have overdone the NR as you have now lost detail on the bird. Perch also looks overexposed. I would try tone that down as well. I hope I dont sound harsh and hope that you will find my suggestions useful TFS Arsdel

    Beautiful bird & detail, Arsdel, nice pose you captured! Agree about BG being distracting, and think Aidan and Dumay make some good suggestions to make your image stronger.

    The bird is simply superb. I would definitely tone down the BG as it is very distracting and take a bit more off the right and give more room in front of bird if you have it.
