I used the high key filter in Color Efex to bring up the dark tones in the center and then used Topaz' "Stylize Details" setting in their Clean program.

Very lovely flower, Jules. Love all the yellow, my favorite color. I like the composition and topaz effect. I would tone down the LLC and try to bring out a little more detail there. That area looks brighter than the rest and it draws my eye. Other than that, it looks great.

Hi Julie, This image is one of my favorites of yours. I like the highly detailed almost graphic qualitiy of the image. Good placement of the center with the petals acting as rays. Agree on the tweak Christopher mentioned on the lower left...

This is a beauty Jules, love the detail...........the lime green center just sets the whole image. Looks like the center green may need a tad more contrast. Quite excellent!

Thanks everyone. Jay, I agree about the center...am even thinking of adding a little more contrast to the rim area as well.

Like the close-up composition you created, Jules, wonderful yellow, and detail in the center. Agree with Christopher's suggestion. I might also might darken the area where the petals connect to the center just a bit. Just a slight gradiation towards the center. I think that, and darkening the green a bit, would give it just a touch more depth. Nice work!
