    Took this one a few days ago, you should of heard the sound this greenie made when the dragon fly soared by.

    Hand held from my Kayak
    Model = Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
    Exposure Time = 1/2000"
    F Number = F7.1
    Exposure Program = Manual
    ISO Speed Ratings = 500
    Focal Length = 500mm

    Haha, very nice moment captured, Chad. His "expression" is priceless.
    Lovely overall. Some fill flash would've probably worked great here. Appears a bit dark on my screen - would open up the shadows.

    Too too funny. Yes to working on the shadows and the darker areas. I would lose the one big specular highlight and would try to lose the light area behind the dragonfly. The off-angled sun hurt you when the bird turned its head to its left....

    I suppose that the dark line is not ideal, yet the action here is so unique and the eyes so bugged out that it works well for me. Lots of fun here, and I like it alot.

    Those eyes are focussed on only one thing in this Great timing to get the insect in the frame, together with the open beak. Your repost does look better, and I would maybe lighten the inside of the beak and throat.

    What a fantastic moment captured, Chad! I can almost imagine what it would feel like to be a dragonfly in its last few seconds! And yes, excellent work on the repost.
