Sharpness, detail, pose with the open beak and the fact that you managed to get such an excellent shot in such low light is great!

That's one heck of a good shot, I can almost feel the texture of the feathers.

Hi Arash. I hesitated to open this -- just another osprey-on-nest shot, I thought; then I saw it was Arash and knew you would take it to a higher level. I'm glad I looked. Terrific pose, BG, and your usual excellent IQ and feather detail. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic calling pose and ruffled feathers! I like the comp with just enough nest showing. Mother Nature always seems to throw an extra stick in there to block something (the feet in this case)...but such is the case in nest photography.

    Hi Arash.

I think you have a very nice, well composed, colorful and sharp image here. My only suggestions would be to brighten the background just a bit, and to add a little more space above the bird if you could.

But hey, this is very good as you posted it.

Stunning as usual, Arash. Feel like I could reach out and touch it, it's so well detailed. Nice to see a bird in rest from you!

Incredible sharpness Arash, and of course capturing a good HA with an open beak. Just love that BG. Well captured.

The details and the pose with the open beak are fantastic. Love the background too, Arash.
It looks like the nest was at about eye level.

Indeed Karl the image was taken from Jim Neiger's boat on lake blue cypress where you can find many eye level nests

Nice scream, sharp, perfect head angle. Soft, soft light. Could this stand to be punched up a bit? It looks a bit like Kodachrome 64.

Excellent pose and detail. I'm with Artie; perhaps a saturation boost and a bit more brightness in the whites. What do you think about this?

Thanks Doug, the repost looks good to me. I have not calibrated my new monitor carefully yet so it is nice to hear some feedback.
