    Default CaspianTern with Fish

Taken a few days ago at Burlington Bay.
These guys fly around with a fish in their beak and try to get a female I guess.
They dip their fish into the water every once in a while to keep it looking fresh I guess.
They go from Island to Island and try their luck. It is a great fun to watch.
    Thanks for looking.

That is a beautiful background, Karl. It looks like a water color. The eye contact that you have with the bird (and the fish) makes the fact that the bird is slightly angled away from you not matter to me.

Poor head angle on the fish. JUST KIDDING. A wonderful flight shot. great job with exposure and a beautiful BG to set it off.

Nice BG and fish is a bonus. Nice exposure and sharpness. It would have been nice if the bird flew towards you IMO. Probably the fish was meant to be for a pretty lady :-).

great BG and nice eye contact plus the fish, nice BG. The look back makes up for flying away, the wing shadow is a bit distracting.

Nice exposure, and the fish is a nice bonus...especially that it is the head pointed towards us. I like the wing position, but the high sun made it impossible to light under the wing. The subject is large in the frame IMO, with such a nice BG it wouldn't hurt to include more of it.
