Really OOTB. I was working on a drab sunset from a few days ago and first I used Pixel Bender, then in Nik Color Efex I tried thermal image, may be called thermal IR. Anyway this is what I got and I kinda liked the vivid colors. I also used glamour glow at lowered opacity.

Hi Judy, your correct that this heavily manipulated image should be posted in OOTB.

Hi Judy, that sure is OOTB! I like the vivid colors here. It feels like leaping flame from water. Nicly processed.

Judy, wow! Vivid is an understatement, this is crazy color and I love it. My only thought would be to maybe lower the saturation just in the yellow area to possibly reveal a bit more detail there. You have nice complementary colors here with the yellow and violet being opposite each other on the color wheel. These combinations are very striking and often used to convey a sense of motion or emotion. Very nice!

Thanks Kerry! Yes it was crazy color and I'm sure it's way over the top for some viewers. I've tried it on other images and liked it but this is the first time I got up the nerve to post one.
There wasn't much detail in the yellow area (trees/shore) as it was a silhouette although Pixel Bender found or created some detail. I didn't want it Van Gogh-ish so I used the minimal setting in PB.

Not over top for me...............agree on slightly lower saturation. I have fooled around with this filter, but never had the image where it worked as well as yours. It's a stop-and-looker for sure!

This is wild and vibrant, Judy! Very OOTB, creative, and looks like you had fun. Agree with Kerry regarding lowering saturation in the yellow. Nice work!

Wow! That's some very, very vivid yellow! Almost hurts your eyes to look at it. I like the ripples and the swirly look in the sky. Nice work.

Thanks everyone! Here's a re-do with yellow and red desaturated a bit.
