    hi Stuart,
    I loooove owls so much I find it hard to critique a shot as I love the bird so much! Was he walking towards you? I am trying to figure out why the bird is slightly OOF from the shoulders down at an aperture of F8? I love his direct gaze.

    This is a nice picture, Stuart. I always love to see Owl pictures.
    I think that the problem mentiond by Gail is the direct result of that you might have been too close and the angle was too steep.

    Love that look, Stuart. Great eyes, detail and exp. The leg seems a bit OOF, but still very nice image.
