    Default Dogwood Texture #2

This one I left in color instead of converting to B&W. I used a textured BG with a built-in vignette to add a little more interest to the image.

Thanks to Indranil for the link to resizing images. It had been awhile since I had posted last and had forgotten some of the tricks.

I like this, Jules - nice clean, simple, quiet composition. Like the branch pattern, softness of light and image, and the olive green BG, texture, and vignette work well. Wanting to see just a tiny more detail in flower petals on left, but that is very minor. Well done!

Very nice, Jules! I love the textures, square crop, and the simple, elegant flow of the branches. Good choice to leave the color, though I'm sure it would look great in B&W too. I might tone down the flowers a tad. Well done!

This is beautiful, Julie. Love the bg and texture. The square frame works nicely with the elegant flow of the branches. Nicely done.

Jules, this is really pretty and I think it should have a haiku. Lovely texture and color. One little thing that catches my eye is the two "scratches" in the texture layer near the left edge next to the leftmost bud. How about a haiku?

    Kerry, how about:

    Petals twist and turn
Break up the cloak of green
    Spring breaks free at last!

Nice Jules! If you change "break" to "breaking" you will have the seven syllables for the second stanza. Works nicely though, and you got the season reference in there too!
