Wonderful exposure and wing position. I think the eye needs to be sharper and I would like to see a little more room in front of the bird.

Hi Nico, a new toy I see? Good flight posture from the WF, and overall, well exposed. Nicely separated from the water BG too. There is a hint of noise on the near wing, which Im sure you can rectify.

Beautiful....great detail. Love the blurred BG, and how it highlights the duck.

Great to see you posting with the new toy, I have been waiting with breath ( Im now nervous to see the stuff you gonna be producing) In this image I can already see the improvement in IQ from your previous body...You must really be enjoying the AF...Noise is visible on the wing but sure you can sort that out...The only piece of advice I can give you with the new camera is to never underexpose as trying to lighten in PP will give massive amounts of noise (But im sure you knew that already)...I think that was the mistake many people made with the 7D and thats why it got the reputation for bad noise, but it was most likely due to user error! Look forward to more Nico!

WHat a beautiful shot, Nico. The details and sharpness are fantastic. I don't see the noise but I don't think I have a great eye for that.
That 400mm sure is great for BIF. Great job.

Wonderful shot. Terrific wing position, and lovely colors. Very nicely captured. I'm curious to know what your software and/or technique was to remove the noise in the repost. I'm always afraid that I will hurt the IQ if I try to run NR on the bird, but the repost seems (almost) as sharp as the OP.

Thanks Bill, i have only selected the wings in CS4 and used noise ninja a plug in (NR software) for Photoshop to remove the noise
