    Default Wrentit with prize

It takes some patience and bushwhacking to get these little ones. They don't seem to stay in one place for more than a second. A very common bird, but not seen very often due their reclusive nature and quick movements, usually as a flock.

Nice work, Kerry! I might remove the two leaves in the upper right but the SH and EXP are good. BTW, I think this is a Wrentit.

yes, nice. And the comp of catching the berry in mouth and the bunch below ties it all together. yes, a tiny leaf blur in upper right corner, but a great shot. thanks for sharing it.

Dan, thanks! That's what I meant to type but it didn't come out that way.

What a shot - really like this one. Eye is great and habitat is splendid. How far away were you Kerry, was the beamer needed over regular flash - techs are spot on.

Thanks for comments everyone. Jeff, I was probably 20ft away and the BB was overkill, but it was an unexpected opportunity. I dialed down the flash so it wouldn't overpower the subject. You can see that there was sunlight behind the tree, but the bird was in complete shadow which is the reason for the slow shutter speed.

Beautiful image Kerry. I think you got the lighting just right with this little guy!
