I liked her pose, but didn't have enough DOF. Will half a sharp bird work?
Cleaned and smoothed the background, cropped a couple of distractions. The light was subdued.

Hi Jay, I think this would work a lot better if the cattails in the bg weren't there. I find that a lot more distracting than the shallow dof. I do find the bird quite centered in the frame and would suggest moving it to the left a bit. Nice head angle and pose!

Agree with Kerry, the cattails seems to be the main subject, too bad nice bird and I love the pose. Tight on the left as noted above. I am on work monitor are the whites in check - thanks for sharing.
