Not sure about the ID, bought this few years ago, but as I remember this is a dwarf Abies koreana, image taken in our garden.

Cool effect. I like the radial lines. Nicely framed. Good one............

    Hey Ovidiu,
I really like the way you are seeing these and getting excellent images using the shallow DOF! I might want a bit more room bottom......as long as it didn't introduce other things......but all in all a great job of composing this and very well done!

Roman, more room at bottom would have been nice but there was the twig tip with a bud. Being dwarf the bud is tiny, almost white and no much details on it. I didnt like how it looked in the image so decided to compose without it.

    Thanks for comments.

Your eye for these things is amazing! The shallow DOF was used to perfection on this one and the comp looks great. I see Roman's point but it sounds like you made the right choice with the crop.

I like it just the way it is. Lovely use of DOF and a beautiful diagonal created by the lines of the leaves (?).

Hi Ovidiu. The beautiful light brings out the multiple shades of green and nicely highlights the edges of the needles. Nice diagonal overall flow to the comp and the shallow DOF works very well here. Well done.

Completely agree with Ken and Jules. Lovely composition and color and lines and shapes.
