This is another image from the South African Wild Coast. The sunrise this morning was not spectacular, but I was able to get some nice "milky ocean" images before the sun rose from the cloud bank on the horizon. This image in B&W just spoke more to me than in colour.

    Techs:
    Canon 7D with 10-22mm USM @ 10mm
    f8.0 @ ISO-100
Blend of 3 images using Photomatix Fusion and converted manually in Nik Silver Efex

Hi Morkel, I feel you did a nice job with the conversion and composition. You handled a fairly tricky exposure well along with good detail throughout. I might reduce the size of your signiture since I find it distracting within the image...

    Hey Morkel,
I think you did a really nice job with this.....although I may prefer the milky/foggy water a bit whiter. I really like the strong FG element....although you may want to tame some of the posterization in the sky......but most likely culprit is downsizing......just check to make sure. All in all.....way to make lemonade out of lemons!

Morkel - Nice conversion and good detail in the fg rocks. I like the comp too.

Morkel, very nice comp, love the rocks and their details. Converting to B&W really works well here. Nice work!

Very nicely composed, Morkel. B&W works well with this image. Think Roman has a good point regarding lightening the milky/foggy water some to give it a bit more contrast to rocks.
    Nice work!

Hey bud , great processing here ! think the suggestions above on maybe getting some white out of the water will help give some depth ! and a little punch !

The RP speaks to me too!!

Also agree that the Watermark is a bit distracting.

Morkel, the left side of the photo is really nice, not sure about the right side.
I would crop some from the right and a bit off the bottom.
I like the Black and White though, nice choice.
