    Default Willow Flycatcher

Willow Flycatcher. A bit of sharpening, a little noise reduction on the background and cropped vertical.

Head appears to be softer than the body...another found of selective sharpening on the head.

Very nice composition Gizzo, agree with a tad more sharpening.

Nice bird, sweet BKGR, but yes, sharpest focus is on the back.... What lens????

It is always a good plan to use extra d-o-f for the over the shoulder poses....

Thanks Gizzo. Amazing you got so close. For the repost I cropped from the bottom (why did you leave so much room below?) and sharpened and lightened the face (as per Digital Basics).

Thanks Arthur. That looks much better. I was lucky to be within a tree clump and he landed on a branch in front of me. I have work to do on my cropping skills for sure. Sorry for my slow response as I was away from the computer for a few days.

You are welcome and no probelma. Do see the section on Advanced Composition in ABP II. In general you want more room above the bird than below. And that goes for both horizontals and verticals.
