    Default Chipping Sparrow with Dogwood

Maybe I should have called it Dogwood with Chipping Sparrow. Taken out of my back door at setup next to feeders and water bubbler. I like the image, but the perch may dominate a bit too much to call it a 'bird photograph'. C&C appreciated.

It appears as though the light was quite harsh. I like the bird but find the BG very gren ( did you increase the saturation?) and the dogwood branch overwhelms the bird.I'm not loving this one Bill!!

    Hi Bill,

Something about this image that I like!

I think it is the dogwood and the way it is curving around the sparrow.

BG looks fine to me and you handled the harsh light well.

Like the comp you have created with the foliage balancing it nicely! Great BG, pity about the harsh light. Otherwise a nicely put together image!

I like this, Bill. I think the composition is very pleasing-the bird and dogwood branch are complementary in their placement in the frame. Nice head turn, catchlight, sharp details, and colors. The shadows don't bother me.
