    Another shot from Contadora Island

    Evening sun behind

    Like its simplicity, reflection and of course the raised foot

    NR Topaz, CB, little brightness +

    Yes very simplistic image, I like the stepping forward that you captured, my only nit would be the image looks sharp but the feathers appear smooth on the mass wing area.

    Aye, looks better without any NR on the bird, also did not change brightness this time

    Changed the crop too; remember evening sun is behind me;

    Richard,

    Noise reduction on the white birds kind of destroys the details. I would selectively choose the background and run NR.
    I like the repost composition.

    Repost looks better for feather detail and surrounding color(color to my taste) although the Egret looks a bit over saturated...Like the comp in the repost

    Richard, nice elegant pose( typical of Snowy) and angle of the bird. The foot out of water is awesome.

    I'd suggest not to do any NR on the birds and do it strictly on the BG only. Repost is much better w.r.t details and crops. There seems to be a reddish cast. If mine, I'd use the clicking method of setting the WB.

    Thanks

    Red cast or warm evening light? depends where u check info; interestingly this is the same light and indeed place that I took that pair in, you also commented on the cast then can others have a look please as I religiously checked, just checked again and get pretty steady figs around 240 all 3 channels here?

    NR was not run on repost. I used it initially as I just bought Topaz 5 and thought I knew how to use it hahaha

    Richard, I was probably not clear. I wanted to say that in the repost, I see a reddish cast. In the first post, I find the WB much better. I'll check again from better screen at home in the evening.
