    Great moment you captured, I like the mom/dad reaching into the frame, the image seems over sharpened though. This would even be better at a lower angle. also the OOF green foliage on the right adds little for me.

    Sweet! What more can I say. Not usually a fan of square crops, but I think it works well here.

    Thanks for your comments. I was already on the ground, but the slope up from the pond prevented a lower angle. I do tend to over sharpen. It is a weakness. My only feeble excuse here is that you may note that my focus was a bit off. It fell on the "parent". I was desperate to try to keep the fluffiness of the chick sharp in order to save the image... You are also correct about the green leaf on the right. I hate it too, but it is a bit large to stamp out.
