    Default Barrow's Goldeneye Breeding Pair in Flight

    I'm just back from a week in Yellowstone. I didn't do a lot of bird photography but had a chance to work on some goldeneyes on Yellowstone Lake. If only the hen had her other wing up like the male!

    About a 15% crop off the right and bottom of the frame for comp...

    Lovely capture of the pair, Dale. This pic would have been over the top had the female's wing been up. Nice BG.

    I was wondering about that. Wow it stays on there late! I see what you mean about the female's wing, but still a super image! As posted the female seems a tad sharper than the male...I just wish it was the other way around (or both the same). I would still be glad to call this mine!

    Nice to catch both here...But IQ is lacking, both look a bit soft...I like the green and yellow eye variations.

    Dale, loved the composition, birds and the water at the bottom. Agree with the AF issue. I think sharpening of the drake will improve this one a lot.
