    This fawn was photographed last season. It ran right up to me near the edge of a field in the shade. I had too much lens for any vertical shots but felt this one turned out fairly well.

    Canon 1D3, Canon 400DO & 1.4 @ 560mm
    F5.6, 1/400sec, ISO 1000, manual mode
    Handheld

    Beautiful portrait, and what wonderful colours in this image, the rich red in the fawns coat, and the deep green BG. This one needs to be in Nat Geographic Kids mag for sure...

    Hi marina , I agree with the others an excellent image. The vertical comp works very well. Lovely colours.

    That really is Bambi if anything I would personally desaturate the greens a little, it looks just a bit too vibrant for me and I feel it steals away from little Bambi.

    I love this image Marina, So cute I just wanaa hug him. I love the sharpness you got and the great innocent expression . Great surrounding greens and a nice low angle too.
