Lots of elements in this image. I like the scene and hope you do too.By way of self-critique I would have preferred a very slight head turn toward me and the head lacks absolute sharpness, yet I like the image enough to keep it in my collection. Processed on a new, calibrated monitor, interested in how you think it looks.

Processed, mbpro, lr3, cs5, minimal crop, one highlight removed, sharpened.

    Grace:

I would have kept it too!

Good self critique. I might consider toning down the brightest spots in the background a bit.

I might try a crop in just a bit from bottom, left and top, personal preference really.

    Cheers

Hi Grace lots to like here. Good low perspective, raised foot, and I like the overall sharpness. I really like the space in the image, and good to see the flowing water. Looks cold

Lovely light, textures (especially the rippled water), light and colors...Low angle definitely works here. Agree with self critique re HA...Nice one Grace!

Nice habitat and a good self critique. The mid-tones on the bird could go a bit lighter. Everything else looks right on in terms of tonality.
